'IN EXCESS' / FOR CREAMCAKE'S 3HD FESTIVAL: POWER PLAY, BERLIN, 2021
"RAWHiDE" was an immersive installation piece shown at an empty shop within a mall in Berlin as part of Creamcake's 3HD Festival in October 2021. The piece consisted of a staged bedroom with television and projector screening audiovisual piece "RAWHiDE", as well as a large wooden collage with glory/peep holes cut. Viewers were invited to engage with the piece from the outside by looking in these peep holes, their hands and bodies smudging the black wax writing on the piece. They could then go around the corner and enter the room itself, making themselves comfortable on the bed, in full view of other guests looking through the peep holes. They could also sit against the wall and fly a bit more under the radar, just watching the projected video. The show was up for one month.
