MOTEL DREAM - BOUND LEATHER

Shot on location at an hourly sex motel in Queens, NY, this short was a fun experiment in testing new motion camera equipment, lighting, and editing procedures. The text is from a poem written in 2018. The music is an altered version of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream". This is a sister to my film "RAWHiDE", which similarly combines video portraits, poetry, and contemporary pop music. "Motel Dream" was shown at The Slipper Room in 2023 as part of Sightlines, a film screening series curated by Natasha Gornik.
